More about the speaker:
Dr. Navsaria is a pediatrician at Madison’s American Family Children’s Hospital and the Department of Pediatrics at the University of Wisconsin’s School of Medicine and Public Health who also holds an MS from GSLIS, and he actively incorporates books and reading into his medical practice.  He’s also an active proponent of the Reach Out and Read program, and he was recently recognized by the governor of Wisconsin for his efforts on behalf of ROAR (<http://www.uwhealth.org/news/governor-doyle-lauds-reach-out-and-read-at-childrens-hospital/30081>).  He will be speaking on the effects of reading on brain growth in children.
